The Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota has a hotel on Sarasota Bay, and the Lido Beach Club hotel on St. Armands Key.

Hotel Indigo (at right) has beautiful modern furnishings. Like sleeping in a magazine.

Hyatt Regency On Sarasota Bay. Nice view.

Siesta Key Beach Resort Right in Siesta Key Village, walking distance to the beach and local restaurants and shops. Pretty funky.

You can also rent furnished condos and beach houses. Some require a week’s stay, but others have a 2 or 3 night minimum. October is still low season.
